Aluminum coil calculation formula
The weight of aluminum coil can be calculated by the following two methods:
Method 1: Direct calculation method
Measure the width, length and thickness of aluminum coils in inches or millimeters.
Calculate weight using the following formula:
Weight (lbs) = Width (inches) × Length (inches) × Thickness (inches) × 0.098
Or weight (kg) = width (mm) × length (mm) × thickness (mm) × 0.0000027.
Method 2: Density calculation method
Find the density of the aluminum coil, usually 2.702g/cm? (pure aluminum ) or 2.68g/cm? (alloy aluminum ).
Measure the length, width and thickness of the aluminum coil and calculate the volume in cubic centimeters or cubic meters.
